L19/041 Apologies
To receive and accept apologies.

Updates on matters since the last meeting – information only
L19/042 Budget
To note the payments made and balances across the budget headings over which the Land Assets Committee has oversight. (figures attached)

L19/043 Ackers Pit
1. Tree work took place on 27 February 2020 to remove poplar trees growing in hedge line alongside Mill Lane pathway.
2. The memorial bench had been repositioned closer to the water’s edge.
3. The wooden bollard had been freed up and a padlock purchased. The padlock mechanism did not operate well and another, more expensive one will be purchased.
4. The contractor confirmed that the shuttering to the weir would be installed after the Covid-19 restrictions are eased.
5. The contractor who cuts the path edges and applies weedkiller to prevent weeds encroaching onto the paths has resumed operations. He reported that under the current restrictions he is unable to source non-glyphosate weedkiller so is using a mixture with glyphosate.
6. The water bailiff had reported that there had been a number of incidents of dogs being walked off leads, with danger to wildlife. Once incident had resulted in injury to a dog and its walker and was reported tot eh police. Notices advising that dogs should be kept on leads were posted around the pit but were subsequently removed by persons unknown.

L19/044 Mill Lane
1. The new bins had been installed and responsibility for emptying them had been transferred to Stockton Heath Parish Council.
2. The bluebells that were planted as a pilot had flowered.

L19/045 Red Lane Allotments
1. There have been no updates from the solicitor on progress on the lease.

L19/046 Events
1. The Animal House making event in February had been very well-attended and positive feedback had been received, including lots of photographs of designs and painted bird houses.
2. The Bat Walk has been provisionally booked for Saturday 5 September and Stockton heath Library has been booked as the host location.

L19/048 Trees at Ackers Pit – Cllr Dutton
To discuss the information regarding trees at Ackers Pit which Cllr Dutton had been notified of through Facebook.

L19/049 Revetments at Ackers Pit – Cllr Dutton
To discuss the deterioration of the bank edge at the Pit.
To discuss when, how and by whom the additional planting to the banking should take place.

L19/050 Habitat management at Ackers Pit – Cllr Dutton
To discuss the role of Warrington Angler’s Association with regard to the management of the habitats at the water’s edge of the Pit.

L19/051 Action Plan 2020/2021
To note actions and to consider actions to be taken on progressing plans and projects on the Action Plan (update enclosed).
