L22/003 Declarations of interest
Members are reminded of their responsibility to declare any disclosable pecuniary or non-pecuniary interest which they have in any item of business on the agenda no later than when the item is reached. Declarations are a personal matter for each Member to decide and the decision to declare, or not, is the responsibility of the Member based on the particular circumstances. Dispensations on any declarations of pecuniary interest made either before or during the meeting to be then considered by the Parish Council and any dispensations documented accordingly.

L21/008 Ackers Pit
008.1 Update – a memorial bench has been purchased and will be sited close to the bench at the Ackers Lane/Ackers Road entrance. Awaiting completion of order and installation by the contractor.
008.2 Update – the PCSO met with the clerk to outline some anti-social behaviour issues at a location at the Pit and advised that clearing some of the sight lines around the area might be beneficial. The water bailiff agreed to undertake the work.
008.3 Update – pest control visits will be taking place in June and August. Meanwhile the water bailiff had reported sighting several groupings of pests as strimming on the banking was carried.
008.4 Update – the path edges had been hand weeded by the contractor, but growth had been swift in returning. Another gratis visit had taken place. The quotation was for £520, with agreement to go above the £500 limit obtained from members of the committee, therefore a retrospective resolution is required.
008.5 To discuss the proposal that a visit to Christleton Pit is arranged (https://www.christleton.org.uk/village/history/pit/).
008.6 To receive any further information about introducing a floating island to the water at Ackers Pit. (some information collected to follow)
008.7 To discuss the design and costs of No cycling signs. (information to follow)
008.8 To discuss the timing of hedge cutting on the roadside of Ackers Lane and Ackers Road.
008.9 To discuss the costs and frequency of verge mowing.
008.10 To discuss any other issues regarding Ackers Pit.
L21/009 Tree Work
009.1 Update – Kenyon Cutters completed the works to the trees, as outlined by the tree health and safety survey, in mid-May. Two willow trees were felled on the Ackers Road side, as once ivy coverage had been removed, it had been revealed that the trees were compromised at the base; an additional cost of £190 was incurred. The bird boxes were mounted in the trees free of charge by the company.
009.2 To note that a ground level visual inspection of the trees on Ackers Pit, Mill Lane and Red Lane Allotments will take place week beginning 20 June 2022 and any observations will be shared by email to committee members with formal reporting at the next meeting of the committee.
009.3 To consider the request from a councillor that a memorial plaque is assigned to ne of the trees to be planted at Ackers Pit in the autumn.
009.4 To consider if a memorial trees policy should be incorporated into the memorial bench policy.

L22/011 Mill Lane
011.1 To receive an update on progress on the establishment of the perennial wildflower area on Mill Lane Field and on the annual sowing by Warrington Borough Council.
011.2 To discuss the comments received by a resident on the annual wildflower sowing at the Brookside Avenue area of Mill Lane.
011.3 Update – to note that the bin ordered through Northwich Town Council for siting near the log seats has been subject to a delivery delay but will be installed as soon as it is available.

Matters for discussion in closed session
Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 s.2
A body may, by resolution, exclude the public from a meeting whenever publicity would be prejudicial to the public interest by reason of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted or for some other special reasons stated in the resolution and arising from the nature of that business of the proceedings; and where such a resolution is passed, this Act shall not require the meeting to be open to the public during proceedings to which the resolution applies.
